Included in the box should be everything you need to get the project on the wall! They projects are shipped in a way to be as easy to assembly as possible. Attached to the bag of supplies is a card with a QR code/link to an assembly page that will walk you through a typical board assembly. If anything is missing or something isn't making sense to you, feel free to reach out and we will figure it out together!
First, don't panic. We will figure this out! Each project is hand assembled one at a time to ensure a proper fittings. With each project being one at a time, each pilot hole and peg placement is specific to that exact project.
The pilot holes for the pegs can absolutely feel tight though, and that was done on purpose. The 3D pieces would just flop downward due to gravity if the holes were drilled too large, so they sometimes need a solid nudge to get into place. Each hole is tested twice before being packaged so they should fit.
But, not every dowel is exactly the same thickness, so testing the pilot holes before gluing them in place by putting a peg through the pilot hole should give you an idea of how much force will be necessary to put into place
If it still seems like its not fitting, there are two most likely culprits...
The first is that not enough force is being used to force it into the pilot hole, (BE SURE TO MAKE SURE YOU SUPPORT THE PIECE WHEN USING EXCESSIVE FORCE, we don't want you to snap a piece in half. So when pushing, only do so with pressure directly above the peg)
The second is that the angle of the pegs that were glued is not matching the angle of the hole that was drilled. Each peg is meant to be glue at a precise 90 degrees to the pieces. However, I also chose to use longer pegs which can help accommodate for any small angle inconsistencies.
If after all of this, it still seems to be going wrong, reach out to me and we can set up a quick video chat to find a solution!
That can definitely be a pain! With each project being hand assembled one by one, I can sometimes miss something. I hand fit each 3D piece, and then place it back into it's puzzle slot to keep it safe, so if a piece is missing from the board, it most likely is in the shipping box itself. Sometimes those really tiny pieces can slip out, though very unlikely.
When packing, I try to include 2 extra pegs in each size, and double the glue you'll most likely need for the project. But if you still feel like you are missing something, reach out to me and we can problem solve a solution!
